Private Saga Tour
A private tour is ideal for families and small groups of friends who simply are looking to have a great time together. Skip the part where you need to wait for a pick up and switch buses and jump right into the adventure with your own English speaking driver and vehicle.
Your own driver will pick up in Reykjavik. Our coach will drive along the beautiful westcoast and the fjord Hvalfjördur to Borgarnes.
After lunch we will visit the hot springs of Deildartunguhver, the waterfall Hraunfossar. Nearby at Húsafell you can have lunch. Next you reach Reykholt, where Snorri Sturlusson – one of Icelands most famous poets – lived in the Middle ages.
If you book the tour by super jeep you will also be able to visit the glacier Langjökull and the tour takes about 10 hours. The route then may change to the mountain road Kaldidalur.

Tips and Trivia
- Be sure to bring warm clothes as the weather may be colder inland than in Reykjavik.
- If you go by super jeep we recommend hiking shoes.

Highlights
Deildartunguhver
Deildartunguhver is Europe´s highest flowing hot spring with 180 liters per second. The name hot spring is more than deserved with the water emerging at stunning 97°C. The water is partially used to heat the nearby cities of Borgarnes and Akranes. But also the hot spring itself is worth a visit.
Hraunfossar
Hraunfossar ( Icelandic for “lava waterfalls” ) is a series of waterfalls in the west of Iceland. The total length of this series of waterfalls is of about 900 meters. These waterfalls plunge into Hvitá river ( Icelandic for “the white river”) which originates on Langjökull glacier and later on plunges down Gullfoss waterfall before flowing into Ölfusá river in Selfoss. Almost right next to them or a bit upstream you find the waterfall barnafoss.
