Húrra

Húrra has it all. It´s a local bar with great selection of local beers. It´s a meeting place for many of Reykjavík´s hipsters and artists that seek out a down to earth atmosphere during the early hours of the night and a crazy club dancy atmosphere that takes over after midnight. Húrra is also one of Reykjavik´s most frequently used live venues for high and low profile local bands. The venue is legendary among Icelanders as it was the first proper live venue originally opened up in the 80´s and was still the main go-to venue in the 90´s and still is today. Loads of legendary bands and artists have performed at this venue through the years, such as Will Oldham/Bonnie Prince Billy, Sigur Rós, Stephen Malkmus, Trans Am, Unwound & Modest Mouse to name a few. Not to mention all the bands that have appeared there at the annual Iceland Airwaves festival.
