Sundhöllinn is the only downtown Reykjavík area Swimming Pool. Although the pool has only featured an indoor pool since it´s opening in 1937, it now has re-opened with a very welcomed outdoor pool feature that will definitely change atmosphere at this legendary pool. The pool was designed by well known architect Guðjón Samúelsson who has designed dozens of buildings in the city of Reykjavik such as The University of Iceland, Hallgrímskirkja and The National Theater of Iceland. The indoor pool is famous for it´s 4 meter deep main pool with a 3 meter high diving board, so you don´t have to worry about any intersection to the pool floor when you practice your diving skills. The new outdoor pool which will open on December 3rd, is pretty cool with a main 25 meter long outdoor pool, 2 relaxing hot tub and hot tub/whirlpool and a steam bath. We are very excited to try this newest addition to Reykjavík´s selection of pools indeed.
What is lacking:
Hot dog stand ( but there is a kiosk close by where you can indeed go for a hot dog)

Monday - Thursday: 06.30 - 22.00
Fridays: 06.30 - 20.00
Saturdays : 08.00 - 16.00
Sundays: 10.00 - 18.00
