Kaldi Microbrewery is Iceland's first microbrewery and brewed its first beer in 2006. Before that time there were only two large breweries in Iceland, Vífilfell and Ölgerðin. What immediately set Kaldi apart from the two giants in the market was its quality crafted beer with strong tastes brewed according to Czech traditions from 1842.

Although the Kaldi bar is located in Reykjavík, the brewery is located in Árskógssandur in northern Iceland. The brewery itself has also become quite an attraction by offering visitors a beer bath experience, tours around the factory, and even a small cozy hotel.
