Best tour company i have ever dealt with! 1000% recommend them

I booked a group trip for 12 people which Dagbjort looked after. The weather meant not one but 2 flights got cancelled and Dagbjort managed to move every single one of our tours around with one days notice, was on hand constantly going back and forth with a million questions from me and coming up with new ideas for the trip and to top it off then chucked in a 3 course meal on the house at an amazing restaurant. I got outstanding reviews from the people who went on the trip.

The tour guides were amazing, the transfers were prompt and easy to find & everything went seamlessly. I couldn't recommend this company anymore. And they are very reasonably priced too, at first i questioned why they were so much cheaper than other tour companies and it is because they have their own fleet which is also why when the weather meant things got messed up it was all so easy to sort out and i only had to contact one person. Amazing tour company and amazing staff!!! The greenhouse on the golden circle is amazing and so is the lava tour!

Comfortable, knowledgable, friendly

Utilised this company for trips to; Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon & Northern Lights hunt (yes, we saw them!) can’t recommend them highly enough, they do a great job. The drivers are confident on the ice roads as you’d expect and kept everyone safe at all times. The guides were very knowledgeable and spoke perfect English.

Guided Day Tours from Reykjavík, Iceland

Our guided day tours all depart from Reykjavík and usually last anywhere between 3 to 11 hours, depending on the chosen excursion. The tours are operated on coaches by an experienced driver and thoughtfully guided by a certified local guide.

All day tours include a hotel pick up and drop off. In some cases, where city center traffic restrictions apply, the pickup is from the nearest bus stop. Our booking engine makes this easy to navigate and locates your pickup spot for you.

Half Day Tours from Reykjavík

Half day tours usually last about 3-4 hours as the destinations are closer to Reykjavík and less diving is involved. These tours include transportation and admission to hot springs and lagoons, whale watching, northern lights tours, and guided tours around Reykjavík to get to know the city you're in. These tours are perfect for travelers who want to stay near the city.

Full Day Tours

Our full day tours usually run from early morning to late afternoon or even late evening. They last for what's considered a full day, or around 8-11 hours. How long the tour lasts depends on the chosen tour and its itinerary. It's also worth noting that these hours can vary due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances delaying the arrival time back in Reykjavík.

These trips involve more driving as destinations are further away from the city. This covers iconic attractions including Gullfoss and Geysir, and stretches as far as Vík í Mýrdal, located about three hours away from Reykjavík.

Best Day Tours from Reykjavík

Reykjavík is the best starting point for day tours that show Iceland's natural beauty. These tours take you to waterfalls, geysers, black sand beaches, and glaciers, all within a day's journey. And for those who want to stay within the city we also offer tours to explore the city of Reykjavík and take a whale watching tour that departs from the city's downtown harbor.

Iceland's Golden Circle Day Tours

The Golden Circle is Iceland's most famous sightseeing route, covering three major attractions: Thingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss waterfall. Almannagjá Gorge, within Thingvellir, is where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet and is the best known place in the world where people can stand between two continents at once. On the Golden Circle day tour you also encounter Geysir, the first known recorded geyser in the world and the one who gave all others their name, along with its neighbor Strokkur who's always happy to put on an eruptive show. Our Golden Circle Tours are operated on coaches and with a certified local guide ready to answer all your questions.

Lagoon Day Tours from Reykjavík

Iceland's geothermal lagoons provide a relaxing way to experience the country's natural hot springs. The Blue Lagoon, located on the Reykjanes Peninsula, is the most famous and only about a 40-minute drive from the city. Its iconic milky-blue waters are rich in minerals that soothe the skin and known for its healing properties. The Sky Lagoon, closer to downtown Reykjavík, offers a more intimate experience with its infinity-edge pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and unlike the Blue Lagoon, has clear natural geothermal water. Both the day tour to Blue Lagoon and Sky Lagoon tour include hotel pick up and drop off and transportation to and from the lagoons.

Iceland's South Coast Day Tours

The South Coast tour is a long day of exploring Iceland's south coast with a local guide by your side and an experienced driver. You'll be picked up from your hotel, or nearest bus stop, and join a coach tour packed with beautiful natural wonders. These tours include attractions such as Seljalandsfoss where you can walk behind the water, Reynisfjara black sand beach with its famous basalt columns formed during rapidly cooled down lava flows, and other iconic sights.

Northern Lights Day Tours

Seeing the Northern Lights is a dream for many visiting Iceland. Northern Lights day tours depart from Reykjavík in the evening, usually around 9 or 10 depending on the season, taking travelers away from city lights to dark, open areas where the auroras are more visible. Locations vary based on weather and solar activity, but popular spots include Thingvellir National Park and the Reykjanes Peninsula. Guides use real-time forecasts to find the best viewing conditions, increasing the chances of witnessing this natural wonder. Since the lights are a natural phenomenon, sightings are never guaranteed, but when they do the dancing green, purple, and pink lights are just magical.
