Your Blue Lagoon journey begins with a convenient hotel pickup in Reykjavík, scheduled 30 minutes before your chosen departure time. For groups that require larger vehicles please note that city center traffic restrictions may make direct access to your accommodation unavailable. If that's the case our booking system will automatically assign the nearest available meeting point.

As we leave Reykjavík and head toward the Reykjanes Peninsula, you’ll enjoy views of wide-open lava fields stretching into the distance — lush and green in summer or dusted with snow in winter. To the right, you can take in the peaceful sights of the Atlantic Ocean as we make our way to the lagoon.

Once you arrive at the Blue Lagoon, your driver will park and remain on-site until you’re ready to leave. This means you’ll have the same driver and vehicle for the return journey, making it easy to safely store any luggage or personal items you prefer not to bring into the lagoon’s changing rooms.

After spending about two hours relaxing in the soothing geothermal waters, you’ll meet your driver once again for a comfortable ride back to Reykjavík. You’ll be dropped off at your preferred location in the city.

After your time in the calming, mineral-rich waters of the Blue Lagoon, it’s time to return to Reykjavík. Your driver will meet you outside the lagoon entrance and you can enjoy a relaxed ride back to the city. Along the way, you’ll catch a final glimpse of the Reykjanes lava fields stretching out across the horizon.

To make your private blue lagoon tour as comfortable as possible, here are a few things to consider bringing along. Some may be especially useful if you plan to add stops to your itinerary or explore the area around the lagoon:

• Extra Towel - If you prefer using your own
• Waterproof Phone or Camera Case - You can bring it into the lagoon
• Fully charged Phone or Camera
• Food and Drinks - Always a good idea although the lagoon also has restaurants
• Warm layers - Places inland tend to be colder than Reykjavík
• Rainproof layers - The weather changes fast in Iceland
• Hiking boots - Especially if you add stops along the peninsula

Blue Lagoon Information

• Minimum age for using the lagoon is 2 years old.
• Children aged 2-8 years must wear inflatable armbands.
• One paying adult is allowed to supervise and be responsible for no more than two children.
• Secure lockers for your clothing and valuables are provided in changing rooms.
• Stay on marked paths for your own safety and do not walk on the moss.
