The Blue Lagoon tour includes transportation to and from the spa, allowing you to unwind and enjoy the journey through Iceland’s dramatic scenery. Upon arrival, you’ll be immersed in the warm, soothing waters, surrounded by lava fields and steam rising from the surface. The spa also offers a range of treatments and amenities, including silica mud masks, in-water massages, and saunas.

Itinerary

You tour starts 30 minutes before your chosen tour departure time with a hotel pickup in Reykjavík. Due to traffic restrictions in the city center, the pickup location may not be directly in front of your hotel. However, our convenient booking system will provide you with the closest pick-up location if direct pickup is not possible at your accommodation.

All our vehicles are easily recognizable, displaying the distinctive Snæland Travel logo and a sign in the window with the tour name.

The bus then departs the capital area and heads onto Reykjanes Peninsula where you enjoy views of vast lava fields as far as the eye can see covered with moss in summer and a blanket of snow in winter. Look to your right hand side and you'll enjoy ocean views.

The drive to the Blue Lagoon takes about 45 minutes.

Included in the tour fee is a Comfort Entry to the Blue Lagoon. The admission includes

The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland's most iconic attractions and for good reason. The milky blue waters are a beautiful contrast to the rugged lava fields surrounding the pools. Beyond its beauty the lagoon is also filled with minerals known for their rejuvenating effects on the skin and healing properties for treating psoriasis.

In the Blue Lagoon you'll also have access to a sauna, steam room, steam cave, and a massage waterfall. The lagoon is rich with possibilities to help you fully relax.

Enjoy floating under open skies in the middle of an ancient lava field before returning to the city.

After enjoying the healing waters of the Blue Lagoon it's time to return back to Reykjavík.

You'll meet your driver outside the lagoon and enjoy a laid back ride back to the city, catching a last glimpse of the Reykjanes lava fields.

Your driver will return you to your chosen drop-off location.

Bathing Suit
Extra Towel - A towel is included in the Comfort Entry however you can bring an extra one if you prefer using your own.
Phone/Camera - You can bring a phone and/or camera into the lagoon so make sure they are fully charged and don't forget a waterproof case.
Food and Drinks - Bringing some snacks is always a good idea although the lagoon also has great restaurants: Moss Restaurant, Lava Restaurant and Blue Café for snacks and refreshments.

Minimum age for using the lagoon is 2 years old.
Children aged 2-8 years must wear inflatable armbands.
One paying adult is allowed to supervise and be responsible for no more than two children.
Secure lockers for your clothing and valuables are provided in changing rooms
Stay on marked paths for your own safety and do not walk on the moss.

Utilised this company for trips to; Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon & Northern Lights hunt (yes, we saw them!) can’t recommend them highly enough, they do a great job. Fantastic Experience

Our driver Pall and guide Petur were absolutely fantastic. We learned a lot about the places we visited, and life in Iceland in general, with some great bits of humour along the way.
We had some last minute changes to our trip due to the strikes in Reykjavik but were always kept informed on what was happening.
When we return to Iceland again we will be booking with Snaeland Travel.

As this is a scheduled tour it's not possible to add more stops along the route.

Where will I be picked up in the city center?

Due to traffic restrictions in the city center, your pickup location may not be directly in front of your hotel or accommodation but rather the closest bus stop.

It’s important that you provide the complete address of your accommodation when booking your tour and our convenient system will provide you with the closest pick-up location if direct pickup is not possible at your accommodation.

A good example is Hótel Óðinsvé where you’ll be guided to Bus Stop 8 at Hallgrímskirkja. To make it easy to find we’ve put together locations of all city center bus stops.

All our vehicles are easily recognizable, displaying the distinctive Snæland Travel logo and a sign in the window with the tour name.

How do I prepare for a pickup with Travel Reykjavík by Snæland Travel?

First things first, have your correct email and phone number listed with us upon booking your tour so we can contact you if we run into any trouble finding you.

Pickup usually starts 30 minutes before the tour departure time. The exact information is provided in your booking. Please be ready at your pickup stop from the start of the pickup time indicated to avoid any delays, as you might be the first pickup of the day.

Is there always a guide on the tours by Travel Reykjavík and Snæland Travel?

Yes, there is a trained and certified English speaking guide on each one of our tours, ready to make your day.

The only exceptions are Blue Lagoon and Sky Lagoon transfer tours, our Self-Drive tours, and Private tours unless a private guide has been requested at an additional charge.
