Travel Reykjavík offers private airport shuttle transfers between Keflavík International Airport (KEF) and Reykjavík capital area, designed for travelers who value comfort, convenience, and reliability. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by your professional driver, holding a personalized sign in the arrivals hall. The driver will assist with your luggage before taking you directly to your accommodation or chosen destination in Reykjavík, without the need for additional waiting times, shuttle transfers, or taxi costs.

The drive between Reykjavík and Keflavík Airport takes about 45 minutes. For departures, we recommend scheduling your pick-up at least three hours before your flight to allow enough time for airport check-in and security procedures.

Blue Lagoon Airport Shuttle

If you would like to include a visit to the Blue Lagoon along the way, please plan for an extra two hours, meaning pick-up should be scheduled five hours before your departure time.

Please note that due to traffic regulations in Reykjavík’s city center, direct access to some hotels may be restricted, particularly for larger groups of six or more travelers. In these cases, pick-up and drop-off will be arranged at the nearest authorized location to ensure a smooth experience.

Upon arrival at Keflavík Airport, your driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall, holding a sign with your name. After greeting you, they will assist with your luggage and escort you to your private vehicle, ready to take you directly to your destination in comfort.

For departure shuttles leaving from Reykjavík your driver will greet you at your hotel lobby/entrance. Larger groups of six or more that require a larger vehicle may need to adhere to city center traffic restrictions and meet their driver at the nearest bus stop. Our convenient booking system will provide you with correct information.

If you’d like to add a visit to the Blue Lagoon to your airport transfer, we’re happy to arrange it. The lagoon is perfectly located between Reykjavík and the airport, making it an ideal stop to relax after your flight or before departure. Making the most of your transfer.

For the ultimate convenience your driver waits while you enjoy your visit to the Blue Lagoon, and safely stores your luggage in the vehicle.

Please allow for an additional two hours minimum in your schedule to fully enjoy the experience.

Airport Shuttle Drive:
Keflavík International Airport is located on the Reykjanes Peninsula about 45 minutes from the city of Reykjavík.

Booking a Departure Shuttle:
When booking an Airport Shuttle from Reykjavík to Keflavík Airport please make sure to select a pickup time at least 3 hours before your scheduled flight departure time. Adjusting the time in accordance with a stop at the Blue Lagoon if you add that service.

Meet Your Friendly Driver:
Your driver greets you with a personalized sign with you name on it in the arrivals-hall at the airport or at the hotel lobby/entrance for departure shuttles. If your pickup location is a bus stop within the city center your driver will meet you there, this may be relevant for larger groups.

We Monitor Your Flight:
We monitor your arrival and departure flight status. In case of significant delays we may offer to postpone your transfer at no extra charge.

Blue Lagoon Airport Shuttle:
We recommend packing a small bag with essentials to bring to the Blue Lagoon as you can store your luggage in the car with your dedicated driver. When including a 2h visit to the Blue Lagoon before a departure flight please make sure to choose a pickup time at least 5 hours prior to your flight.

City Center Pickup and Drop-Off Location:

Informative, Enjoyable and Reliable

As we had a group of 12 and had private tours as part of our holiday package, we were taken round in a mini bus. Bjorn, our guide and driver, was always on time and couldn't be more informative/helpful - we couldn't believe the knowledge he had. The Golden Circle Tour packs much of what the area has to offer in to a day. The Reykjanes peninsula was also an interesting tour from a geographical perspective. The transfers we had with the company to and from the airport were hassle free also. All in all we had a great experience with the company and I would recommend the private golden circle tour.

Stunning Scenery and knowledgeable guide!

We were promptly met by our guide, Vidir Kristjansson, at the cruise terminal. The stunning scenery is non-stop. Vidir was knowledgable and quite eager to share his country with us. Walking through the towering cliffs of Thingvellir National Park was awesome. Having never seen a geyser before, Geysir Hot Springs put on quite a demonstration. And, the blue hue of Little Geysir was captivating. The major attraction of our trip was the magnificent Gullfoss, and it did not disappoint. I can understand why people risk their life to get the perfect picture. Our tour continued to Faxi waterfall and the geothermal overs at Laugavata Fontana. Our visit to the geothermal ovens coincided with a loaf of baked bread being dug up from it's steamy oven.

We had a fabulous day with Vidir. One of our traveling companions was suffering from a nasty cold. Vidir took the time to make sure she was comfortable throughout the day and allowed her to stay in the van when she didn't feel well enough to walk from the parking lots.

Brilliant day at the Golden Circle

We would like to say a huge thank you to our guide Aron for an excellent day seeing geysirs, tectonic plates and waterfalls. He was so knowledgeable and we really learned a lot even with a geology background. He was friendly and accommodating and we really couldn’t have had a better day - would highly recommend.

Can I add attractions to my Airport Shuttle service?

We're happy to arrange a variety of services to create your dream experience. You can easily add a visit to the Blue Lagoon as part of your transfer in the next steps of the booking process.

I need to cancel my Airport Shuttle, what do I do?

If you cancel with at least 24h notice, we happily refund the entire amount. Anything canceled less than 24 hours prior to pick up time will be charged in full.

How far is Reykjavik from Keflavik International Airport (KEF)?

Keflavík International Airport is about 50 km (31 miles) from Reykjavík and it takes around 45 minutes to drive from the airport to the city.

Are there any family friendly tours available for younger children?

Yes, Snæland Travel offers a number of family-friendly tours and activities. The Golden Circle Day Tour is a wonderful family experience where you see the must visit Gullfoss waterfall, the all age favorite Strokkur geyser, and stroll around Þingvellir National Park (the kids will love Peningagjá).

The Reykjavík City Tour & FlyOver Iceland Experience is also a great tour for those who want to stay in town and discover the city. There are no age restrictions however the Flyover Iceland Experience has a height requirement of 1m (ca. 3ft). Whale watching tours with our partner company Elding are also a time tested favorite for families with young children.

Another option could be one of our Stopover Packages that consist of multiple day tours so that you can rest easy in the same spot every night in Reykjavík, while also experiencing outer city adventures during the day.

What plugs are used in Iceland? Do I need to bring an adapter?

In Iceland, Type F power plugs and outlets are used. The standard voltage is 230 V at a frequency of 50 Hz. If you are visiting from the UK, USA, Canada or other countries using a different voltage, Hz or plugs you will need to bring an adapter.
